Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Physical Design Engineer to join our team in Maynard, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing mechanical components for desktops, servers, or networking switches, along with proven expertise in product development from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components for desktops, servers, and networking systems.
Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fit and manufacturability.
Support prototyping, testing, and design validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance.
Work with suppliers to support production and tooling.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Good experience in mechanical/physical design
Strong experience in designing desktops, servers, networking equipment, or switches.
Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
Experience with mechanical components such as enclosures, chassis, brackets, and thermal solutions.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, die-casting, machining).
