Weโ€™re supporting a major global energy technology organisation in the search for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer III to join a high-performing Gas Turbine Engineering team.

๐Ÿ“ Location: Greenville, South Carolina
๐Ÿข Onsite | 1st Shift
๐Ÿ’ฐ Rate: $59.38 per hour
๐Ÿ“… Contract Length: 12 months
โฐ Hours: 40 hours per week

The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer with strong rotor analysis expertise to work on advanced gas turbine technology projects. Youโ€™ll play a key role in structural analysis, fatigue assessment, design validation, and engineering problem solving within a collaborative technical environment.

Responsibilities
Execute 2D and 3D finite element analyses of gas turbine rotors using ANSYS
Perform post-processing activities including low cycle fatigue crack initiation and propagation assessments
Evaluate bolted joint behaviour and component strength performance
Retrieve and manipulate CAD models from PLM systems
Modify and develop models in Siemens NX
Prepare clear technical summaries and engineering documentation
Support automation of recurring analytical tasks using Python
Conduct defect evaluations through engineering analysis
Present updates in routine project meetings
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
6+ years' of industry experience
Strong 3D CAD modelling skills
Advanced ANSYS finite element analysis experience
Experience in fracture mechanics and low cycle fatigue analysis
Rotor design experience preferre
Siemens NX proficiency
