Mechanical Designer – Dallas, Texas
A leading engineering organisation is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join their growing team in Dallas, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Designer to play a key role in delivering high-quality, production-ready designs within a fast-paced and innovative environment in Dallas, Texas.
The Mechanical Designer in Dallas, Texas will be responsible for translating engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications into detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks. Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams in Dallas, Texas, the Mechanical Designer will ensure designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with industry standards.
Role Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks from engineering concepts and specifications
Create fully populated mechanical assemblies to support production and manufacturing processes
Produce accurate technical drawings with appropriate GD&T to communicate design intent
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to translate concepts into manufacturable designs
Maintain CAD data, revisions, and documentation within PDM systems
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Designer using SolidWorks in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong proficiency in 3D modelling, assemblies, and production drawing creation
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining and sheet metal fabrication
Working knowledge of GD&T and ASME drafting standards
Experience using PDM/PLM systems such as SolidWorks PDM or Windchill
