We are seeking a motivated Dev/Research Engineer 2 to support the research, design, and development of mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in engineering design, testing, and analysis, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, and test mechanical products, equipment, and systems
Analyze design proposals, technical specifications, and project requirements to determine feasibility, cost, and timelines
Investigate equipment failures, diagnose issues, and recommend corrective actions
Develop engineering drawings, sketches, and technical documentation
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and CAD models
Perform analysis of aftertreatment systems, including capability evaluation and sizing trade-offs
Design components such as catalyst canning and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system parts
Troubleshoot aftertreatment-related issues in test environments
Review and analyze test cell and field data to ensure system performance and reliability
Support validation activities, including FMEA, testing, and data analysis
Track and manage hardware usage and testing programs
Work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to communicate project status and technical updates
Coordinate with procurement teams for prototype parts and quotations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, or related field)
2–5 years of relevant engineering experience
Experience in product design, testing, or development
Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and engineering drawing interpretation
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with engine systems or aftertreatment systems
Knowledge of performance data analysis and validation processes
Familiarity with tools such as DatK, CANape, or similar
Strong understanding of FMEA and engineering testing methodologies
