About Earthly Dynamics Corporation
Earthly Dynamics Corporation (EDC) is a fast‐growing aerospace R&D company based in Roswell, Georgia, developing next‑generation autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft and guided‑airdrop systems.

Position Summary
We’re looking for a hands‑on Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and prototyping of mechanical subsystems for our aerial platforms. You’ll take concepts from early CAD models all the way through flight‐test validation.

Key Responsibilities
Lead design conceptualization and 3D CAD design (SolidWorks or Creo) of airframes, interfaces, and mechatronic subassemblies
Perform structural analysis and FEA (Solidworks FEA) to validate load cases and optimize designs
Select materials and manufacturing methods (composites, sheet metal, additive) with DFM/DFT in mind
Build and test prototypes in our machine shop; troubleshoot and iterate rapidly
Interface with suppliers for components and tooling; manage vendor communications
Collaborate closely with controls and avionics teams to integrate mechanical and electrical systems
Support ground and flight test campaigns, including data collection and failure analysis

Required Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
3+ years of mechanical design experience—ideally in aerospace or defense environments
Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/Creo) and FEA tools (ANSYS/NASTRAN)
Strong grasp of GD&T, material properties, and manufacturing processes
Proven track record of taking hardware through prototype, test, and flight
US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR‐controlled work)

Bonus (but not required)
Prior work on UAVs or guided airdrop systems
Active or eligible for Department of Defense security clearance

What We Offer
Competitive salary + performance bonus
Comprehensive health (medical, dental, vision) insurance
401(k) with company match
Generous PTO and holiday schedule
Professional development stipend and continual learning environment
