Do you have experience in the design of mechanisms, e.g. Shifters, Parking Brakes, Latches or any other assemblies that move in unison? do you enjoy seeing your designs built and participate in prototype builds and testing of your masterpiece?
We are looking for a Designer/Design Engineer for a direct position with our long time client located within a 30 minute drive north of Columbia in the beautiful northern rolling hills of Missouri.
Generous relocation package provided if out of the area.
We have 2 positions with one being a Senior level that needs very little support and another with a min of 2 years of experience below.
Experience
4 yr technical degree preferred or engineering related experience in mechanisms , kinematics.
CAD experience utilizing NX or similar CAD software to allow for fairly quick transition
Design experience in creating stampings, molded and cast parts and integrating into assemblies.
Detailing of components and assy's utilizing GD&T, tolerance stackups
Essential Functions: (or ability to pick up quickly)
Utilize DFM/DFA to design cost efficient proposals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during design, development, validation, and launch activities for successful product launch.
Assist Manufacturing Engineering with process and assembly problem solving.
Investigate, propose, and manage new product development efforts or product updates.
Review technical reports and recommend modifications or adjustments in order to meet specifications.
Coordinate with Sales and customer(s) to create and release Product Specifications and Documents for assigned product ideas.
