General Information:

Our Mechanical and Electro-mechanical Centre of competence Department for 2-Wheeler & Powersports product is looking for a Design Engineer based in Pune, India.

To support growth in design and development activities, a position has been opened. You will be part of a team that contributes to the product design and supplier development for the 2-Wheeler & Powersport product line.

As part of the team, you will be a key player in the capturing stakeholders needs and define the concepts to meet their expectations. In your role, you will be responsible to interact with design team, production team, system team, suppliers, quality and customers.

You will join a dynamic team composed of passionate engineers who work in Agile mode and with challenging objectives in an international environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As a mechanical design engineer, you will work in the ICE & electrified project area:

you have responsibilities in the design & development of product for new generation ECUs and throttle body, implement value engineering activities in existing products.
you analyse product issues from validation/field and recommend robust solutions.
you develop design drawing and be responsible for change management activities in the design.
you work with cross-discipline team (project team, manufacturing) and drive change management activities.
You realize the integration and the validation of the system (s) / product (s) / technology (s).
You support quality management (feasibility and risk analysis, FMEA, FTA)
you actively participate in the analysis of defects seen by the customer or in managing missing content upon delivery to the customer (delays, side effects, occurrences, criticality...)

Your qualifications:

2 to 5 years’ experience working as a Design Engineer (automotive sector is a plus)
Minimum graduate in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with engine systems, air modules, and ECUs.
Knowledge on design validation, product validation, product application, DFM is a plus.
Skilled in 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation using Creo.
Define Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification and Validation Plan (DVVP).
Handle postproduction issues and travel to customer sites, plants, and supplier units as needed.
Practice of change management tool preferable
Flexibility & ability to work in a cross-discipline environment, and interaction with production team
Ability to understand system requirements and define the product.
Advanced level of English (written and spoken)
Good communication, strong customer orientation and positive experience with international team
