Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking MBSE Systems Engineers (Levels 1–3) to support next-generation aerospace and defense programs in St. Louis, MO. The MBSE Systems Engineer will contribute to the design, integration, and verification of advanced aircraft and mission systems within a cutting-edge digital engineering environment. This role is fully onsite in St. Louis, MO!
Responsibilities of the MBSE Systems Engineer (Levels 1–3):
Support system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE methodologies (SysML, Cameo, MSOSA)
Assist in defining system functions, interfaces, and requirements across multiple engineering domains
Contribute to requirements decomposition, traceability, and documentation within MBSE models
Participate in system integration, verification, and validation (V&V) activities
Support trade studies, system analysis, and design reviews to meet program objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including software, hardware, and systems teams
Maintain and update MBSE artifacts within a digital engineering ecosystem
Support implementation of MBSE best practices across the program lifecycle
Qualifications of the MBSE Systems Engineer (Levels 1–3):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
0–8 years of systems engineering experience depending on level
Experience or exposure to MBSE methodologies, SysML, and modeling tools such as Cameo or MSOSA
Understanding of systems engineering fundamentals including requirements, integration, and testing
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Exposure to aerospace, defense, or mission systems environments preferred
Experience supporting digital engineering environments is a plus
Compensation for the MBSE Systems Engineer (Levels 1–3):
$85,000 – $135,000 annually based on experience
