Job Title: Manufacturing Design Engineer

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Education: BE / Diploma Mechanical/Production/ Industrial & Automotive Engineering.

Experience: 4 to 8 years in Manufacturing Engineering/Design/Development

Work Place: Chinchwad, Pune

Purpose of Role :

Product Designing, creating manufacturing drawings for Castings and Machining to ensure efficient production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:
Drawing release and control
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
To make manufacturing and process drawings.
Support new product introduction and manufacturing feasibility studies.
Support standard customer inquiries regarding technical specifications.
Works on ECR/MOC for effective implementation of change management.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, CREO, etc.).
Ability to create:
General Arrangement (GA) drawings
Assembly drawings
Detailed Casting and Machining drawings drawings.
Should be able to work along with Cross functional teams-PD&E, Sales and Application
Cost Management: Identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising product quality.
Project Management
Layout design and Automation.
Space Utilization : Efficiently using available space to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Workflow Optimization : Designing layouts that streamline processes and reduce movement, handling, and transportation time.
Metrics
Drawing release and control.

Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems.
Firm understanding of GD&T concept.
Exposure to advanced manufacturing techniques, digitization, and robotics. Low-cost automation
Knowledge on form, fit & functions of a product.
Knowledge in application of measurement principles for manufacturing.
Communication Skills – Must have effective communication with Team members and stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint).
Candidate Profile:
Candidates must have bachelor's Degree/ Diploma in engineering fields such as mechanical or production with more than 8-10 years of industrial experience.
Worked in design and knowledge in CAD/CAM.
Experience in Industrial Engineering.
