Manufacturability Engineer

Position Summary:

JGMS Government Services is looking to hire a manufacturability engineer to support our client's multi-site organization project engaged in the design, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators. This position is full-time and will be performed on-site in West Mifflin, PA. Candidates must have an active DOE L security clearance.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations.
Review and disposition supplier mechanical design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements.
Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied.
Understand ASME Y14.5 Geometric Tolerancing principles.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

BS in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a mechanical engineer

Desired Qualifications

Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software.
Experience with Model Based Design.
Experience with design for manufacturability.
Experience implementing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) into designs.
Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME, AWS).
Experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with suppliers.
Experience with machining and all forms of welding processes across design and production.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to think creatively and make recommendations to senior project personnel.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Security Clearance

Candidates must have an active DOE L security clearance.
