Role Overview
The Manager – Schedule Monitoring will be responsible for day-to-day tracking, updating, and reporting of the project schedule across Civil, Facility, Process Equipment, and EPC packages for the Ingot, Wafer and Cell manufacturing facility. Working under the Head – Planning & Control, the role focuses on ground-level progress capture, schedule variance analysis, and timely escalation of delays, ensuring the master schedule remains a reliable, up-to-date reflection of actual site and vendor progress.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and update the project schedule (Primavera P6/MS Project) on a daily/weekly basis based on site progress and contractor/vendor inputs.
Track physical progress of Civil, Structural, Facility/Utility, and Equipment Installation activities against the approved baseline schedule.
Conduct schedule variance analysis – identify delays, slippages, and near-critical activities, and flag them to the Head – Planning & Control for corrective action.
Coordinate with site engineers, EPC contractors, and equipment vendors to collect accurate, timely progress data and supporting documentation.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports, S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and progress dashboards for management review.
Maintain look-ahead schedules (2-week/4-week) in coordination with site execution teams to ensure short-term planning aligns with the master schedule.
Support critical-path monitoring and highlight activities at risk of impacting overall project completion dates.
Track and update manpower and resource deployment data against planned resource-loading curves.
Assist in progress measurement and validation for contractor billing/milestone certification.
Maintain document trackers for drawings, approvals, RFIs, and change requests, ensuring linkage with schedule activities.
Support preparation of delay-analysis reports and time-impact assessments where schedule deviations occur.
Coordinate with Procurement to track delivery status of long-lead equipment and materials against the schedule.
Participate in periodic project review meetings, recording action items and following up on schedule-related commitments.
Maintain schedule archives, revision history, and baseline change logs for audit and reporting purposes.
Qualifications & Experience
B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical or related discipline, MBA will be added advantage.
9–13 years of experience in project schedule monitoring/planning for large industrial or infrastructure projects, preferably solar PV, semiconductor, or heavy-process manufacturing.
Hands-on proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project for schedule updating, progress tracking, and reporting.
Working knowledge of critical-path method (CPM), look-ahead scheduling, and basic Earned Value concepts.
Experience coordinating with EPC contractors and site teams for progress data collection and validation.
Strong MS Excel and reporting skills for dashboards, S-curves, and progress trackers.
