LOCATION: Ingredion Malegaon,Nashik Plant
REPORTS TO: Maintenance, Reliability & Utility Specialist
DIRECT REPORTS: Fitter & Helper
SCOPE: To ensure efficient operation, upkeep, and continuous improvement of plant utilities and equipment, enabling uninterrupted production while maintaining safety, environmental, and quality compliance.

Maintenance, Reliability & Utility Engineer will manage to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of plant utilities and equipment, supporting uninterrupted production and compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
Utility Management:
Oversee daily operations of utilities including HVAC, compressed air systems, boilers, chillers ,water treatment plants, and electrical distribution.
Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.
Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and utility systems.
Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
Project Execution & Equipment Installation
Support installation and commissioning of new utility systems and equipment.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for project execution.
Ensure timely completion of maintenance-related CAPEX projects.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and company standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
Team Coordination & Training
Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors.
Conduct training sessions on equipment handling and safety practices.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and reliability.
Engineering Purchasing
Manage total purchasing for maintenance-related materials, oversee store operations, and ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
AutoCAD Drawing Work
Prepare, update, and manage all engineering drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Handle outside parties/vendors for maintenance services, repairs, and project execution.
Routine Operations & Material Handling
Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities and ensure timely availability and handling of required materials.
Team Motivation & Supervision
Lead and motivate subordinates including fitters, helpers, and other support staff to ensure high performance and safety.
Engineering Documentation
Maintain all documentation related to the engineering department including maintenance logs, compliance records, and audit files.
Qualified Candidates Will Have

Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on experience in utility systems and maintenance operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of utility systems and maintenance best practices.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Good communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
Proficient in managing utility systems such as HVAC, boilers, chillers, air compressors, and water treatment plants.
Skilled in wastewater treatment technologies and hazardous waste disposal practices.
Experience in boiler operations, including compliance with Boiler Act and coordination with Boiler Inspector.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Well-versed in environmental and safety regulations, including MPCB norms.
Familiarity with statutory requirements related to Factory Inspector inspections and documentation.
Core Competencies: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication. Ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
Desirable Requirements
Pharma and Food manufacturing experience is advantages

Strong ownership of utility systems and maintenance activities with a focus on operational reliability and compliance.
Proactive in managing statutory requirements, including coordination with Boiler and Factory Inspectors.
