Title: LV OEM Mechanical Engineer (SWB / Switch Racks)
Location: Onsite in Deer Park, TX
Compensation: DOE
Must-Have Requirements
3–7+ years LV OEM / switchgear / power distribution experience
Hands-on experience with:
Switchboards (SWB)
Switch racks / rack-mounted systems
Mechanical design experience (layouts, enclosures, structural supports)
CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
BOM creation + engineering documentation
Knowledge of UL / NEC standards
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Mechanical layout/design of SWB and switch rack systems
Create drawings (GA + fabrication) and BOMs
Coordinate with electrical engineering on component placement
Support manufacturing / shop floor (fit-up, tolerances, build issues)
Drive DFM and cost improvements
Handle custom / ETO configurations
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
ETO (engineered-to-order) environment experience
Thermal / heat dissipation knowledge
Sheet metal / enclosure design background
Experience with Eaton, Siemens, Schneider, ABB platforms
Electrical logic – review/redline - build
Candidate Profile
Strong mechanical problem solver (not just CAD)
Experience working closely with production teams
Comfortable in fast-paced, custom build environments
Can troubleshoot and make real-time design decisions
