LiDAR Systems Engineer

Description
Analog Photonics is a fast-growing startup developing the next generation solid state lidar sensors for autonomous applications. We are currently searching for a seasoned lidar expert for the development of the next gen lidar sensing technology. You will be a core member of the technology development team. The essential requirements for this job include a track record of developing and delivering hardware in a fast paced startup environment, deep understanding of electronics, expertise in electro-optical systems, experience with 3D-lidar sensors, excellent communication skills, and an established track record.

Requirements
5+ years industry experience or equivalent
MS/PhD in Engineering/Optics/Physics
Comfortable developing new LiDAR system architectures through trade studies, link budget analysis and modeling
Comfortable distilling clear subsystem requirements given complex system level specifications
Deep understanding of electronics and electo-optic systems
Experience with different lidar topologies
Experience with embedded systems with FPGA's for signal processing
Hands-on and data-driven mentality
Experience with integrated photonics is a plus
Experience with ASIC development is a plus
Experience with integrated circuit packaging is a plus
