Insight Global is seeking a Legal Engineer to bridge the gap between legal expertise and technology for our Personal Injury Law Firm client in West Hollywood, California. This role is ideal for someone who understands legal workflows and is passionate about building scalable, tech-enabled solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and modernize legal operations. As a Legal Engineer, you will partner closely with attorneys, legal operations, and technical teams to design and implement automated workflows, deploy LegalTech tools, and integrate AI-driven solutions. As a Legal Engineer, you’ll build and optimize the systems that power case management—from intake through settlement—leveraging automation, AI, and data to reduce manual work and accelerate case velocity. Your work will directly impact case outcomes, client experience, firm profitability, and overall how legal services are delivered—freeing up legal professionals to focus on high-value, strategic work.
Main responsibilities include:
Workflow Design & Automation: Map and build automated workflows for tasks.
Process Optimization: Analyze existing legal processes to identify inefficiencies; redesign them to be more streamlined and user-friendly.
Legal Technology Implementation: Research, evaluate, and integrate tools including document automation platforms.
Legal Operations Support: Collaborate with ops teams to reduce costs and align legal processes with business goals.
AI & Innovation: Integrate AI-powered tools into daily workflows; test and introduce emerging technologies such as machine learning and natural language processing.
Risk & Compliance Tooling: Build tools that improve data accuracy and visibility into legal risk and compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
Change Management: Lead adoption of new tools and processes across the team, translating technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside law firm staff, developers, product managers, and legal ops professionals to build integrated, strategic legal systems.
Compensation:
$130,000 to $170,000 per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
