The Dupps Company in Ankeny is looking for a Lean Engineer.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Connecting the voice of the customer (VOC) to the targets to improve (TTI) and leader standard work (LSW)
Engages in breakthrough initiatives such as transformation rhythms, shop strategy reviews, and cell control centers (CCC) and the plant control center (PCC)
Supports the continuous improvement of key process indicators (KPI) and the sustainment of standard work process improvements – both transactional and non-transactional
Works on complex solutions and implements new solutions utilizing both Lean and technology
Defines processes, IT tools, trainings, systems, etc. to be used by the manufacturing community
Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
Coach, mentor, and train others in all Lean Six Sigma DMAIC concepts and tools
Qualifications for this position:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, and/or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in Production Process and Equipment
Experience with Lean Transformation & Lean Tools
Experience with Lean deployment and driving changes in production shop floor through strategic projects
Six Sigma / Lean Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred
Ability to travel between plants up to 25% of the time
