⚡ Lead the Charge — Validate the Future of Power

At Texas Instruments, we don't just design chips — we validate them to the highest standards so that the world's most demanding applications run flawlessly. If you're a validation expert who thrives on system-level challenges, hardware debugging, and cross-functional leadership, this role was built for you.

🔎 About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Validation Engineer – DC-DC Power Solutions to join our Mid-Vin Buck (MVB) team within TI's Power Products division. You will own the end-to-end validation lifecycle — from board design and test plan development to silicon bring-up and customer issue resolution — for cutting-edge mid-voltage regulators serving enterprise computing, industrial, AI, and autonomous driving markets.

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role with a strong team leadership component, where your work directly ensures that TI's power solutions meet the most rigorous customer and market requirements.

📌 Key Responsibilities

Design and develop validation boards (schematics & PCB layout) aligned with customer use-cases and EVMs — including modularization, mixed-signal challenge resolution, and hardware scalability
Build and document comprehensive validation plans with deep understanding of both device behavior and system environment
Define validation strategy across hardware, software, and instrumentation
Develop and implement validation test cases using scripting languages (Python, TestStand, LabView, etc.)
Silicon bring-up on bench — perform system-level and parametric testing with a "break-the-part" mentality
Collaborate with Design and Firmware teams to support customer needs and implement custom firmware features; identify and resolve FW-level bugs and workarounds
Drive device and setup debug independently through to closure
Engage with application engineers on customer issues — provide device-level insight, fixes, and modifications
Lead, mentor, and guide junior validation engineers within the team

🛠️ Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of relevant validation/hardware engineering experience (8+ preferred)

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in analog product validation engineering
Strong hardware debugging skills — bench and system level
Experience in simulating and designing DC-DC converters and/or inverters
Knowledge of power semiconductor switches — MOSFET, IGBT, SiC MOSFET
Expertise in Simplis, Matlab, Altium, PSPICE, LabView, Python
Schematic and PCB layout design in Altium — signal grounding, routing, and optimization
Strong time management with ability to deliver complex tasks on schedule
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A meticulous, high-quality mindset with deep system-level debug experience
Ability to foster a creative, productive, and collaborative team environment
