About the Company
An innovative industrial technology organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in power electronics to join its advanced R&D function. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver mission-critical hardware solutions used in demanding and safety-regulated environments.

About the Role
You will take full ownership of complex hardware development programs - from early architecture through production release - working on technically challenging problems where standard reference designs are insufficient. This is a high-impact role suited to engineers who thrive on solving difficult physical design challenges and want to see their work deployed in real-world industrial applications.

Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design of isolated power conversion systems, defining architecture based on requirements rather than pre-existing templates
Develop and validate custom magnetic components, including transformers and inductors, using both simulation tools and laboratory testing
Drive innovation in unconventional power conversion and extraction methods, translating new concepts into production-ready hardware
Design robust analog and mixed-signal circuitry for sensing, control, and industrial interface applications
Own full PCB development lifecycle, ensuring layout integrity for high-voltage, thermal, and EMC-sensitive systems
Oversee hardware bring-up, troubleshooting complex issues such as instability, noise, and interface failures, and guiding designs through compliance and manufacturing readiness

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced study in power electronics is advantageous

Required Skills
Extensive hands-on experience (typically 8–12 years) in power electronics hardware design, including converter development and magnetics engineering
Strong expertise in switching power supply design, control strategies, and stability analysis across multiple operating modes
Proven capability in custom magnetics design, including material selection, winding techniques, and loss characterization
Proficiency with PCB design tools and experience delivering production-ready layouts for complex electronics systems
Familiarity with simulation platforms used for power electronics modeling and validation
Solid understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and design practices for noise mitigation in switching systems
Experience designing for harsh environmental conditions, including temperature extremes and high-voltage isolation constraints
Demonstrated ability to debug hardware using advanced lab equipment and a methodical engineering approach
