We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Test Engineer with strong expertise in Banking and Supply Chain Finance (SCF) domains. The ideal candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), contributing to testing, requirement analysis, and stakeholder collaboration while ensuring high-quality delivery in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Domain Expertise
Perform comprehensive functional testing across Supply Chain Finance (SCF) and Banking applications.
Act as the SME for SCF products, including:
Vendor Finance
Dealer Finance
Invoice Discounting
Payables & Receivables Financing
Provide domain expertise and guidance to developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
Handle offshore and onsite business queries with accurate and timely clarifications.
Translate business requirements into detailed test cases, scenarios, and test plans.
2. Agile Practices & Collaboration
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including:
Sprint Planning
Backlog Grooming
Sprint Reviews/Demos
Retrospectives
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to understand requirements.
Gather and resolve story-specific queries within each sprint.
Ensure smooth coordination between teams for timely delivery.
3. Test Management & Quality Assurance
Estimate effort for testing deliverables in each sprint.
Perform:
Requirements analysis
Test design & execution
Defect lifecycle management
Track testing progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers daily.
Review test cases to ensure adequate coverage and quality standards.
Manage defect logging, tracking, retesting, and closure using tools such as JIRA / QC.
4. Continuous Improvement
Stay updated with latest trends in SCF domain and technology advancements.
Identify gaps and suggest process improvements in testing lifecycle.
Provide recommendations to enhance SCF workflows and controls.
Proactively highlight risks, issues, and blockers early in the sprint.
Contribute to improving overall quality, efficiency, and testing practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Functional Testing
Deep domain knowledge in Banking and Supply Chain Finance (SCF)
Experience in client interaction and requirement clarification
Proficiency in Agile methodologies
Hands-on experience with JIRA / Quality Center (QC) or similar tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with Accessibility Testing
Exposure to end-to-end banking systems and financial workflows
Knowledge of automation tools (added advantage)
