🔐 The Opportunity

We’re forming a new engineering team to redefine how identity, authentication, and security are delivered across a regulated, multi‑asset financial platform. This Lead Engineer role is foundational — you’ll architect critical systems, set technical direction, and play a key role in scaling a world‑class identity and security function.

This is a hands‑on leadership role combining deep technical ownership with strategic influence and future people management.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

🧠 Design and build secure, scalable identity and authentication systems
🔑 Implement modern authentication methods including passkeys, WebAuthn, biometrics, MFA, OTP, and 2FA
⚖️ Balance best‑in‑class user experience with regulatory and compliance requirements
🕵️ Build systems for fraud detection, monitoring, auditability, and forensic analysis
🤝 Partner closely with Product, Compliance, Fraud, and Regulatory teams
🔌 Evaluate, select, and integrate third‑party identity and security vendors
🧱 Architect compliant systems aligned with SCA, PSD2, KYC/AML, and global regulations
📝 Own technical documentation, security policies, and architectural decisions
👥 Hire, mentor, and lead engineers as the team grows
🚀 Act as the technical authority for identity and access management across the platform

✅ What We’re Looking For

🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
🧑 💻 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a strong focus on identity & security
⚙️ Strong experience in Node.js and/or Golang
🔐 Deep knowledge of authentication standards (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2, WebAuthn)
🏦 Experience building identity platforms in fintech, payments, crypto, or regulated environments
🧩 Strong understanding of risk‑based authentication and fraud prevention
📊 Proven ability to design secure, auditable systems at scale
🗣️ Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
💪 Comfortable operating under pressure in high‑impact environments
👥 Ready to step into people leadership as the team expands

🌟 Nice to Have

🔓 Experience with passkeys, adaptive authentication, or biometric systems
📜 Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS
🧠 Previous experience building or leading identity/security teams
🛡️ Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar)
