Hardware Validation Engineer

NXP is seeking HW Validation Engineer for silicon validation both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation of Automotive MCU products. You will be responsible for the functional validation and ensuring functionality, performance, stress and stability through comprehensive validation.

Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities

Validation planning – Drive Develop and implement detailed validation test-plan and develop validation methodologies/infrastructure to achieve the coverage
Test development – Develop test-cases, test environment and automation scripts using Python. Use various HW and SW tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, traffic generators and analyzers.
Collaboration – Work closely with design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause and resolve any issues that may arise during validation
Documentation and reporting – Document test-plans, test results, validation coverage reports.
Automation – Develop various scripts, web-based tools to automate validation tests as well as collecting reports and diagnostics data

Minimum Required Qualifications

B.Tech./M.Tech. Electronics/Computer Engineering
7+ years of experience in silicon validation and performed roles in SOCs, mixed signal/digital ICs.
Hands on experience with debug of interfaces like communication peripherals, memory interfaces and system level validation testing.

Expertise with pre-silicon platform, C, script-based test automation (Python) and strong scripting skills in general.
