Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative engineer to design, develop, and optimize Lighting Solutions and associated manufacturing processes. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and energy-efficient lighting solutions that meet industry standards and unique customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop lighting solutions, including LED fixtures, mechanical components, drivers, and control systems
Support initiatives to improve manufacturing for efficiency, quality, and safety
Collaborate with R&D, quality, and production teams to bring new products from concept to mass production
Perform testing and validation of lighting systems (photometric, thermal, electrical)
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS, DLC)
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and specifications
Work with suppliers to source components and improve product quality
Conduct cost analysis and recommend design improvements for cost reduction
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
Evaluate field returns, identify root cause and implement any corrective actions
Identify BAA and BABAA product solutions and conduct cost justifications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in lighting manufacturing or product engineering
Knowledge of LED technology, drivers, optics, and thermal management
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, PCB assembly, metal fabrication)
Experience with testing equipment and standards for lighting products
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Team leadership
Experience in the electronics manufacturing
Knowledge of smart lighting systems (IoT, controls, sensors)
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification
PMP certification
Experience with regulatory compliance and certification processes
