Lead Automative Use Cases Validation Engineer
The Role
Join AMD’s PAVS team as an Automotive Infotainment Stack Validation Engineer, leading validation strategies and end to end use case validation for AMD’s Automotive Virtualization on AMD platforms. The role focuses on validating Xen based virtualization, multi OS domains (Android, Yocto, FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS), IVI features, graphics, and Ryzen AI workloads. You will work across the hypervisor, OS domains, drivers, and system level performance to enable next generation automotive compute platforms.

Key Skills
Virtualization (Xen): Multi VM Validation (Android/Yocto/FreeRTOS), virtio (camera/audio/media/GPU/NPU), passthrough (UART/I2C/SPI), AVIC, QoS.
Boot Optimization testing with core boot for S3 & S5
OS Domains: Validation of Safe Linux, SDV AAOS, Yocto, and FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS including graphics workflows, automotive use cases, and IVI related feature validation.
FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS: Control-domain validation, CRC, safe rendering, crash fallback, mixed criticality flows.
Graphics/Display: AMD compositor (superframes, gestures, clone, virtual outputs), projection (Android Auto, CarPlay).
Debug/Recovery: Full stack debug using Unified Debugger, system recovery validation.
Cloud & AI: VAS on AWS/Google Cloud, V710; Ryzen AI workloads
Audio: HiFi5 pipelines, ACP validation
Security: Secure Boot to DomU, validation
Key Responsibilities
Validate Xen based virtualized platforms across Android, Yocto, FreeRTOS.
Optimize and validate boot flows across firmware → hypervisor → OS.
Validate virtio pipelines and device passthrough.
Validate compositor, display, GPU, and projection workflows.
Lead system-level debug, performance tuning, mixed criticality validation.
Support Secure Boot, safety flows, and cybersecurity validation.
Collaborate with firmware, kernel, virtualization, graphics, and AI teams.
Drive automating features
Preferred Experience
Strong in C/C++, Python, Shell automation.
Deep experience with Linux kernel, hypervisors, drivers, bootloaders, SoC power states.
Hands-on with Xen, multi VM orchestration, and automotive compute platforms.
Test Automation: Development and automate test suites for virtualization, boot flows, OS domains, and IVI features.
Frameworks & Tools: PyTest, Framework, custom Python/Shell-based automation, Jenkins/GitLab CI pipelines.
Academic Credentials
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
