Job Description
- Lead RF post-silicon validation of LNAs, Driver amplifiers, RF switches, PAs, beamformers, and transceivers.
- Own characterization of key RF parameters including:
- S-parameters (Gain, Return Loss, Isolation), Smith chart, Noise Figure, IIP3 / OIP3, P1dB, Phase Noise, EVM, ACPR, Harmonics and Spurious emissions
- Perform CW, pulsed, modulated and timing validation where applicable.
- Execute validation across voltage, temperature, and process corners.
- Drive silicon bring-up and perform deep root cause analysis of performance deviations.
- Develop automation frameworks using Python (PyVISA, SCPI) for scalable validation.
- Support production, test handover and characterization correlation.
- Generate comprehensive validation reports and data summaries.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in RF Bench Validation and Characterization.
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals: impedance matching, stability Analysis, noise mechanisms, and linearity concepts.
- Hands-on experience with VNAs, spectrum/signal analysers, RF signal generators, power meters, and noise figure setups.
- Understanding of lab instruments like power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, PNAx, etc.
Preferred
- Exposure to automation-driven validation and large-scale characterization matrices.
- Experience in soldering small SMD components.
- Knowledge of communication protocols like SPI, I2C, I3C, SCPI, etc.
- Knowledge of PCB design.
