Our client is is one of the largest utility companies in the United States, delivering essential natural gas and electric services to millions of homes and businesses across six states. They are seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical or Civil Engineer
Location: Fort Wayne / Auburn / Angola, IN Area
Education:
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (required)
Experience:
0 to 4 years of relevant engineering experience
Other Requirements:
Must use personal vehicle for work-related travel (mileage reimbursed at the federal rate)
Job Responsibilities:
Work under the guidance and supervision of senior engineering staff.
Provide day-to-day engineering support for projects, including developing and maintaining specifications, procedures, and directives for structural, systems, and controls engineering.
Actively participate in pre-production meetings related to pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, and pressure vessels.
Support materials testing, research, and development programs.
May collaborate with other junior engineers on routine and reoccurring projects.
Receive ongoing on-the-job training and professional development.
Potentially provide technical guidance to technicians and offer support to other professionals.
Design materials, structures, and systems with careful consideration toward practicality, regulations, safety, and cost.
Conduct feasibility studies and assess resource requirements (people and materials); help set operating standards for development activities.
Deliver general engineering support for capital projects focused on oil and natural gas facilities.
