Job Title: Junior Developer (AI-Driven Product Team) ($70k-$85k Salary)

Built By The Trades is building a suite of AI-powered applications designed specifically for the home services industry. Our products focus on driving revenue, improving operations, and simplifying how trade businesses run day to day.
We are a fast-moving, product-focused team building multiple applications in parallel. This is not a maintenance role. This is a build role.
The Role
We are looking for a Junior Developer who wants to be part of building real products from the ground up.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is hungry to learn, move fast, and contribute to shipping features that customers actually use. You will work closely with senior developers and product leaders to build, test, and iterate on AI-powered applications.
You will be exposed to real product decisions, real customer problems, and real shipping timelines.
What You’ll Do
Build and ship product features
Contribute to the development of web and mobile applications across our product suite
Write clean, maintainable code with guidance from senior engineers
Help take features from idea to production
Support AI-driven development
Work with APIs and AI tools to integrate automation and intelligence into our products
Assist in building and testing AI-driven features and workflows
Continuously learn and apply new AI tools to improve development speed
Collaborate across teams
Work closely with product, design, and leadership to understand requirements
Provide input on how to improve features and user experience
Test and improve quality
Help identify bugs and issues across applications
Write and run basic tests to ensure product stability
Support QA efforts and iterate quickly based on feedback
Learn and grow quickly
Take ownership of smaller features and components
Continuously improve your technical skills and development approach
Ask questions, seek feedback, and iterate
What We’re Looking For
Core skills
1 to 3 years of experience in software development or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience with modern web development (JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks)
Basic understanding of APIs and how systems integrate
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Mindset and approach
Strong bias toward action and getting things done
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Willingness to learn new tools, especially in AI and automation
Problem-solver who can think through issues, not just execute tasks
Takes ownership and follows through
Bonus experience
Exposure to AI tools, LLMs, or prompt engineering
Experience working on SaaS products
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
Experience with integrations (CRM, accounting systems, etc.)
