Company Description
Cataract is the leading cause of preventable blindness globally. After cataract surgery, the majority of patients are dependent on spectacles or LASIK surgery for good vision. Nayam Innovations is a VC-funded clinical research stage Company developing a novel patient personalized freeform optics Intraocular lens (IOL) to give spectacle-free vision to patients after their cataract surgery. The lens is designed to neutralize the optical aberrations in the visual path of the user.

The team is a mix of scientists, engineers, and business development professionals hired from leading universities and business organizations globally

Role Description
Optical simulation of freeform optics IOLs, tolerancing, and Monte-Carlo ray tracing using ZEMAX
Optical metrology and characterisation of IOLs
Provide comprehensive design review reports and verification test plans
Ability to use Ophthalmic measurement equipment, including corneal topographers, OCT, auto-refractors, and keratometers
Ability to multitask and work in a broad sense (plan out the scope of work and adapt to changing requirements)
Experience of 2 years.

Ideal Candidate
A Master's in optical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, or a comparable course of study, with a focus on optical engineering and technologies
In-depth knowledge of optical design software such as Zemax
Experience in optical experiments and metrology tools, such as 3D optical profiler, wavefront measurement, and digital holography.
Experience in Optometry and optometric measurement techniques.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, as well as a systematic and goal-oriented approach to solving problems.
