Role Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of embedded electronic hardware systems for automotive applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in schematic capture, PCB design, circuit analysis, and hardware validation, along with a solid understanding of automotive electronics and embedded systems.
The engineer will work closely with hardware, systems, software, mechanical, and validation teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality electronic products that meet customer and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Development
Support the design and development of embedded electronic hardware for automotive applications.
Create and maintain schematics using Altium Designer or equivalent EDA tools.
Support PCB layout development and conduct PCB design reviews.
Assist in component selection, circuit design, and hardware integration activities.
Review and interpret technical requirements and translate them into hardware design solutions.
Validation & Troubleshooting
Perform hardware bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation activities.
Support root cause analysis and issue resolution during development and testing.
Assist with EMI/EMC testing and troubleshooting activities.
Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers to investigate hardware issues.
Technical Collaboration
Participate in schematic reviews, PCB layout reviews, and design evaluations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and validation engineers.
Support design documentation, engineering reports, and technical reviews.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master's degree is a plus.
3–6 years of experience in hardware electronics design, preferably within automotive or industrial electronics environments.
Exposure to embedded electronic systems and automotive ECU development is preferred.
Understanding of automotive electrical/electronic architectures and embedded hardware design principles.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals.

3–6 years of experience using Altium Designer or equivalent schematic and PCB design tools.
Experience with:

PCB Layout Review
Multilayer PCB Design
PCB Layer Stack-up Concepts
PCB Design Rules and Constraints
PCB-to-Mechanical Interface Requirements
Automotive Electronics
Familiarity with automotive communication protocols:
CAN FD
LIN
Automotive Ethernet
LVDS
Understanding of embedded electronics design constraints.
Basic knowledge of automotive functional safety concepts and E/E architectures.
Analysis & Validation
Experience performing circuit simulations using LTspice or equivalent tools.
Understanding of Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
Knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles and testing methodologies.
Familiarity with thermal management considerations for automotive ECUs.
Exposure to Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) concepts is preferred.
Knowledge of Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) is considered an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers.
Exposure to ADAS, body electronics, infotainment, connectivity, or vehicle control systems.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced automotive product development environment.
