Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the development of ergonomic requirements and align with global counterparts
Support the setting of vehicle level requirements to optimize ergonomic performance (e.g reach, access, intuitiveness, and first-time ease of use)
Conduct research (e.g. benchmarking, literature, user testing, virtual analysis etc.) to provide recommendations and develop requirements for user experience and ergonomic interfaces
Interact with cross-functional teams to understand limitations to designs and work to overcome roadblocks
Track issues to support future development of ergonomic requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Physiology, Biomechanics, Human Kinetics, Psychology, Cognitive systems or related field from an ABET accredited program
Proficient with CAD
3 or more years of relevant Engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in automotive, design or ergonomic-related fields
Prior experience with customer interfaces incorporating increasingly new technology
Prior experience with HMI & ergonomic specifications and functional objectives
Familiar CAD Human Modeling tools
Exhibits excellent, clear, and detail-oriented written and verbal communication on highly complex topics
Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines amongst changing vehicle designs
