Salary Information
The starting pay rate for this position is between $26.21 - $33.50 per hour ($54,516 - $69,680 annually), depending on experience and qualifications, plus excellent benefits. Use this Total Rewards Calculator to see an estimate of the total value of our competitive benefits package!
The classification of this position is an IS Systems Development Services Professional, which is in Pay Schedule 07, Pay Range 35. Pay will be set in accordance with the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. Starting pay for current state employees may vary based on applicable provisions in the Compensation Plan.
Job Details
Background Checks: Due to the nature of this position, final candidates will be subject to criminal background, fingerprint, and tax compliance checks.
I-9 Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of appointment. The Department of Revenue does not sponsor work or student visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. DOR participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information for all new employees to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.
Probationary Period: A 12-month probationary period will be required.
Remote/Telework up to 60%. Note: During probation you will have the opportunity to gradually increase to 60% (i.e., working remotely three (3) days per week, and will report to the 2135 Rimrock Road; Madison WI building, two (2) days per week) within 9 months (of your 12 month probation) based on performance and workload needs. Remote work is intended to be performed primarily in the State of Wisconsin and is subject to change based on business needs.
Qualifications
Minimum-qualified candidates will have training or experience in each of the following:
Quality improvement/management principles and techniques.
Developing software testing plans and conducting software testing.
Conducting quality assurance reviews (e.g., reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, compliance with applicable policies/procedures, etc.).
Using performance management and/or quality improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, cause and effective diagrams, flow charting, root cause analysis, Pareto charts, Results Based Accountability, etc.).
Well-qualified candidates will have experience in one (1) or more of the following (in addition to the minimum qualifications).
Writing SQL.
Conducting IT QA processes utilizing two or more automated software testing tools; OR utilized Selenium.
Leading a team in quality improvement process projects.
Providing technical assistance and/or training on the use of performance management or quality improvement tools.
Collecting and/or analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness (e.g., conducting trend analysis, developing reports based on collected data, evaluating results, recommending improvements etc.).
