We’re working with a top-tier robotics organisation building next-generation humanoid systems designed to operate safely, reliably, and autonomously in unstructured real-world environments.
As the platform transitions from cutting-edge prototypes into fleet-scale deployment, we’re hiring a Staff Hardware Integration Engineer to operate at the centre of system-level failure analysis, cross-domain engineering alignment, and field reliability engineering.
This is not a component-level role.
This is a systems integrity leadership role inside one of the most complex electromechanical products being built today.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be the technical force connecting Mechanical, Electrical, and Harness engineering — responsible for ensuring that what is designed in R&D survives contact with reality.
You will lead:
Cross-disciplinary engineering war rooms on fleet-level failures
Deep system investigations across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and signal integrity domains
Root cause analysis that goes beyond symptoms into true system-level causality
End-to-end corrective action ownership (ECO → validation → production → fleet rollout)
Telemetry and diagnostic strategy with software/data teams to surface failure precursors before downtime occurs
Translation of field failures into next-generation design requirements
Continuous improvement of system reliability, uptime, and operational robustness at scale
You will operate as the bridge between field reality and engineering truth.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a T-shaped systems engineer with authority across disciplines.
8+ years in robotics, complex electromechanical systems, or high-reliability hardware environments
Deep expertise in at least one core discipline (ME / EE / Mechatronics / Systems)
Proven experience owning hardware through lifecycle sustainment in real-world conditions
Expert-level root cause analysis capability (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
Demonstrated ability to debug systemic failures across integrated hardware stacks
Strong interface experience with manufacturing, quality, and production engineering
Comfortable operating in ambiguity, urgency, and high technical complexity
Known for bringing structure to chaotic, multi-variable engineering problems
You will be directly responsible for improving how a humanoid robotic platform behaves after deployment at scale in uncontrolled environments. If this sounds like the kind of problem space you operate in, please reach out or apply for a confidential conversation.
*This role is onsite in Austin, Texas.
