Job Description
Responsibilities :
Framework Development : Design, architect, and enhance scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks from scratch for both UI and API layers.
Test Automation Execution : Author, review, and maintain highly reliable automation scripts using Selenium with Java or Python.
API Testing & Automation : Architect and execute comprehensive API automation suites ensuring high test coverage, performance, and data validation across microservices.
CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to support a seamless DevOps lifecycle.
Test Strategy & Planning : Collaboration with developers, product managers, and QA peers to identify automation candidates, define test strategies, and minimize manual testing overhead.
Defect Management & Analysis : Debug complex automation failures, isolate root causes, log detailed defects, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure swift resolution.
Mentorship & Quality Standards : Establish coding standards for automation scripts, conduct code reviews for test code, and mentor junior QA engineers.
Technical Qualifications
Core Experience : 6+ years of solid experience working as an SDET with a primary focus on automation engineering.
Programming Languages : Advanced proficiency in Java or Python (writing clean, reusable, object-oriented code).
UI Automation : Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. Experience with Page Object Model (POM) or BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Behave) is highly preferred.
API Automation Tools : Strong expertise in automating RESTful APIs using tools/libraries such as RestAssured, Postman, Requests (Python), or similar frameworks.
Database & Tools : Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases for test data validation and experience with version control systems like Git.
Build/CI Tools : Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle) and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
