Position: Information & Communications Technology Designer/Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

Job Description:
We’re seeking a skilled Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Designer/Engineer to lead the design and documentation of low voltage systems including structured cabling, A/V, nurse call, electronic security (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection), cellular DAS, and related technology systems.

Responsibilities include field investigations, system layout and device placement, pathway and infrastructure design, equipment selection, specification development, and full REVIT/CAD documentation. You’ll collaborate with project managers, architects, owners, contractors, and vendors to support project delivery from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates bring strong REVIT/CAD proficiency, knowledge of applicable codes and standards, experience coordinating across disciplines, and the ability to manage multiple projects in healthcare, mission-critical, commercial, industrial, assisted living, municipal, multi-family, higher education, sports architecture, industrial/manufacturing, government, military and retail sectors.

A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving low voltage technologies is essential.

Minimum Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical discipline with prior internship or co-op experience in low voltage systems design
OR
High school diploma/GED with a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in low voltage systems design

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated work experience using REVIT and/or AutoCAD for low voltage systems documentation and coordination
BICSI certification(s) preferred, including but not limited to RCDD, DCDC, TECH, or INST levels
AVIXA certification(s) preferred, including but not limited to CTS or CTS-D
ASIS certification preferred, including but not limited to PSP
Experience coordinating low voltage systems with architectural, MEP, and IT stakeholders
Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and best practices related to low voltage and technology systems
