Basic Qualifications
Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, with existing professional experience
Experience and demonstrated skillset with Hardware and Software requirements, development, integration/test, production, and qualification activities. This includes Software Formal Qualification (FQT) and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA).
Candidate will be required to communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the USG customer
Must be available for occasional domestic travel
Candidate must have a Secret clearance

About the Role:
This position is for a Chief Engineering Manager for the Integrated Guidance System (IGS) program. The successful candidate will report to the PAC-3 Hardware Chief Engineer programmatically and be expected to work closely with the other members of the Lower Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (LTIAMD) Chief Engineer staff to ensure synergy across tasks and to communicate lessons learned.
What You Will Be Doing
Leading technical efforts and ensuring accelerated execution, design, producibility improvements, qualification, and transition to production
Leading successful demonstration of program development and customer milestones to include system analyses, electrical and mechanical hardware design, integration/test, design verification testing, qualification, and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)
Coordinating across business sites among engineering, manufacturing, test, logistics, and support functions
Developing and nurturing a productive partnership with the USG customer
Guiding IPT leads and cross-functional teams in program planning, scheduling, trade studies, design concepts, verification, and critical life cycle reviews
Ensuring program staffing is appropriate from an E&T perspective
Collaborating with Engineering Excellence management to ensure program milestones are successfully completed
Supporting and leading program technical reviews and participating in monthly E&T meetings, staff meetings, and other critical program activities
Communicating lessons learned and ensuring synergy across tasks with the entire Chief Engineer staff
Key Responsibilities
Provide end to end technical leadership for the design, producibility, production, qualification, transition to production, and Request for Change (RFC) process
Develop and execute detailed program plans, schedules, and trade study analyses
Lead or support customer briefings, weekly IPT status updates, Technical Interchange Meetings, Technical Readiness Reviews, and other critical program reviews
Participate in Failure Review Boards, Risk Management, and Mission Success Reviews
Support technical reviews internally, with the customer, and external stakeholders, and at supplier locations
Requirements
Demonstrate excellent leadership skills and a proven ability to lead technical efforts with cross-functional teams with expertise in leading hardware design, manufacturing processes and best practices
Have demonstrated experience in planning and leading technical solutions from program capture and development efforts, program Hardware Development, Qualification activities, and Requirements Verification/Validation activities.
Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
Show a strong understanding of Full Spectrum Leadership principles (technical, people, business, strategic).
Have excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills
An advanced degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is desired
Prior experience at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is highly desired
Familiarity with the Lower Tier IAMD Missile Segment and its requirements combined with a working knowledge of the Army customer is strongly desired.
Familiarity with PAC-3 Systems Engineering, and PAC-3 Hardware Release processes is strongly desired
Working knowledge of dealing with subcontractors and subcontract technical management is a plus
Candidate should have wide experience/familiarity in collaborating with the Engineering & Technology functional organization
Ability to interface with the USG Customer office and global supply base
Ability to support technical reviews internally, with the customer, and external stakeholders, and at supplier locations
Experience in leading Failure Analysis and Failure Review Boards
