Role Overview
We are looking for experienced HMI Validation Engineers to support validation of automotive infotainment systems for a Tier‑1 supplier. The role focuses on manual testing, test design, test automation, and documentation for Android-based HMI systems, including audio, radio, and connectivity features. Contractors may be required to work morning or evening shifts, depending on project needs, release schedules, and collaboration with global teams. Flexibility to support shift-based work during the contract period is expected.

Key Responsibilities
Perform manual validation of Automotive HMI features on target hardware and bench setups
Design, execute, and document test cases using ALM tools (Polarion preferred)
Develop and maintain test automation using Python / ECU‑TEST
Validate Android-based infotainment systems and HMI workflows
Test and validate Audio systems, including:
AM/FM radio
Bluetooth audio (A2DP, HFP)
Media playback and audio routing
Validate vehicle communication protocols, including:
CAN
SOME/IP
Use Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) for bus simulation and analysis
Analyze logs, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues
Support regression testing and release validation cycles
Contribute to test strategy, test plans, and validation documentation


Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
4+ years of experience in Automotive Infotainment / HMI validation
Strong experience with Android Automotive / Android-based HMI
Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design
Experience using Polarion or similar ALM tools
Automation & Tools
Test automation experience using ECU‑TEST and/or Python
Experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer)
Familiarity with HIL / SIL / bench testing environments
Protocols & Interfaces
Strong understanding of CAN
Experience with SOME/IP is a plus.
Knowledge of automotive ECU communication and diagnostics
Functional Domains
Audio systems (AM/FM, media, Bluetooth)
Bluetooth profiles (A2DP, HFP)
Infotainment system integration and user workflows


Nice to Have
Experience working with Tier‑1 automotive suppliers
Exposure to OEM validation processes
Understanding of ASPICE / ISO 26262
Experience validating multi-display or cluster integrations
