ScaleFlux is looking for the High-Speed IO (HSIO) Serdes Validation Engineer. You will be part of a fast-growing, next-generation storage company shaping AI and real-time analytics infrastructure. Key Responsibilities and Required Skill Set
Bench validation, electrical characterization, and interoperability of high-performance memory controller chips
Experience with PCIe PHY high-speed interface testing and characterization
Experience with DDR4/DDR5 memory characterization, link training, and performance validation
In-depth understanding of PHY design, architecture, adaptations, and equalization techniques including process/voltage/temperature sensitivity for HSIO
Strong Python coding skills – must be capable of developing scripts for automation, data collection, analysis, and access to lab tools
Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and PCI/DDR Standard based compliance testing
Hands on experience to set up and use HS scope, BERT, and Logic Analyzer
Collaborate with Design, Architecture, Verification, HW, SW, and Operations teams to root cause issues
Develop and continuously refine validation methodologies, improving design coverage, efficiency, and time-to-market
Collaborate with internal and external partners for test equipment sourcing
Define and execute test methodologies to validate silicon designs against specifications, develop test plans and reports
Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
Qualifications & Experience
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of hands-on bench validation experience in semiconductor or system-level environments
Proven experience with PCIE Gen1-6, LP/DDR4/DDR5 memory interfaces and processor/memory system architectures
Demonstrated proficiency in Python scripting for validation, automation, and data analysis
Strong understanding of electrical characterization, signal integrity, and power integrity
Experience with ATE or system-level testing is a plus
Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Technical & Soft Skills
Semiconductor Fundamentals: Comprehensive knowledge of IC design, characterization. high-speed IOs, and analog/mixed-signal circuit behavior.
Strategic Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executive-level presentations and customer engagement.
Operational Agility: A proactive self-starter comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments; willing to travel as required
