Location: Austin, TX - Onsite
We are seeking experienced Hardware Validation Engineers to support pre-silicon and post-silicon board validation activities for next-generation hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in board bring-up, power validation, hardware debugging, and validation of low-speed interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hardware board bring-up and debug activities for pre-silicon and post-silicon validation platforms.
Validate and characterize voltage regulator and power delivery systems at board and silicon levels.
Execute power validation, functional testing, and root cause analysis of hardware issues.
Validate low-speed interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, and other peripheral subsystems.
Support PDVT, EDVT, and system-level validation activities.
Work closely with hardware design, silicon, firmware, and test teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
Develop and execute test plans, collect data, and document validation results.
Contribute to automation initiatives using Python scripting where applicable.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of experience in hardware validation, board bring-up, and debugging.
Strong experience with pre-silicon and post-silicon validation environments.
Hands-on expertise in power validation at both board and silicon levels.
Solid understanding of voltage regulator circuits and power delivery architectures.
Experience troubleshooting hardware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab equipment.
Knowledge of low-speed communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Basic Python automation experience is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a customer-facing environment.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $88000/Year
Pay Range Maximum: $134000/Year
