Electronics Hardware Test Engineer (Onsite — Tualatin, OR)
We're working with a leading global client in energy management and industrial automation that supports critical infrastructure across manufacturing, utilities, and advanced electrical systems. Their teams build and validate real-world products used at scale — this is hands-on engineering with visible impact.
They're looking for an Electronics Hardware Test Engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware while also leveraging software, automation, and test systems to improve product quality and reliability.
What You'll Be Doing
Test and validate analog and digital electronic hardware in a lab environment
Design, develop, and execute test plans, procedures, and reports
Develop and maintain automated test applications and validation processes
Perform EMC testing and ensure compliance with applicable standards
Troubleshoot hardware failures, software-related test issues, and performance concerns
Support production issues, returned product analysis, and root-cause investigations
Contribute to product improvements, validation, qualification, and reliability efforts
Work closely with engineering teams on requirements, design, system architecture, and test strategies
Analyze test data, document findings, and provide actionable recommendations
Support test automation initiatives using LabVIEW, SQL databases, and software-based test tools
What They're Looking For
1–3 years of hands-on experience in electronics hardware testing, validation, or test automation engineering
Strong foundation in:
Analog & Digital Electronics
Signal Processing and Debugging
Hardware Validation & Test Methodologies
Test Automation Engineering
Experience developing or supporting software-based test applications
Working knowledge of databases and SQL for test data collection, analysis, and reporting
Hands-on experience with LabVIEW for test development and automation
Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other electronic test instruments
Exposure to EMC testing and compliance standards
Knowledge of power electronics is a plus
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
Why This Role Stands Out
Real product impact — not just documentation or support work
Hands-on lab environment with modern electronic systems
Opportunity to work on complex, large-scale industrial platforms
Exposure to both hardware testing and test automation technologies
Fast-moving team that values engineers who can think independently and solve problems effectively
If you enjoy breaking down hardware problems, understanding how systems behave in the real world, building automated test solutions, and improving product quality through rigorous validation — this is a strong opportunity to step into meaningful engineering work.
