As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking hardware system and/or validation Engineers to join our team and play a key role in enabling the adoption of our high-speed Ethernet semiconductor solutions in the automotive sector.

Job Summary:
This is a full-time hybrid role for an HW system Engineer at a startup in the Automotive Ethernet Industry. The HW system Engineer will be responsible for validating and testing semiconductor devices, participating in system design reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as hardware designers, software engineers, and product managers. This role is located in San Jose, CA, but flexibility for some remote work is available.

Key Responsibilities:
Validate the chip functionalities, both electrically and at the protocol/system level.
Write Python scripts to automate the functional/feature testing, interface with the chip designer/ firmware engineer to study and debug silicon.
Use lab equipment to perform electrical measurements, like timing parameters, compliance testing, noise/jitter analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge in Ethernet, PCIe, WiFi, or other communication protocols, or coursework in relevant fields
Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and other test equipment
Experience with scripting languages such as Python
Understanding of electronic circuitry
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex problems
Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Team player, able to communicate effectively in a cross-functional environment
