Hardware Lead – Automotive ADAS & IVI
Location: Novi, MI

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Lead / Hardware System Architect with strong automotive electronics experience across ADAS, Infotainment (IVI), Digital Cockpit, Connected Vehicle, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms. The candidate will lead end-to-end hardware development from requirements and architecture through PCB design, board bring-up, validation, and production release.
Key Responsibilities
Define hardware architecture for automotive ADAS, IVI, and HPC platforms.
Convert system/customer requirements into detailed hardware specifications.
Develop Hardware–Software Interface Specifications (HSI).
Lead schematic design, circuit development, component selection, and qualification.
Review high-speed, multi-layer PCB designs.
Perform Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), timing, and WCCA analysis.
Lead board bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Support EMI/EMC, functional, environmental, and burn-in testing.
Lead design reviews, technical governance, and product releases.
Coordinate with software, mechanical, PCB, suppliers, OEMs, and Tier-1 teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.
Required Skills
Automotive ADAS, IVI, Digital Cockpit, Connected Cars, and HPC.
Qualcomm SA8775P / SA8797P, NXP S32K388, Renesas RH850, Freescale i.MX6, TI, or Intel Atom/Apollo Lake.
DDR3/DDR4, PCIe, SATA, USB, Ethernet, CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C.
Automotive camera/display interfaces such as FPD-Link and GMSL.
Experience with Mentor DxDesigner, Expedition PCB, Cadence Concept HDL, OrCAD CIS, HyperLynx, LTspice, DOORS, Mathcad, JIRA, and SVN.
Strong hardware debugging, validation, and system-level troubleshooting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Automotive OEM/Tier-1 supplier experience.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety, ASPICE, and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms.
Strong leadership, customer-facing communication, and project management skills.
Experience leading global cross-functional hardware development teams.
