We are looking for a Hardware Engineer.

Main Responsibilities:
Create and release electrical schematics and BOMs in Allegro
Review PCB layouts with the layout engineer, including component placement, routing, stack-up, manufacturability, and design rule compliance
Work directly with U.S.-based Tier-2 suppliers and manufacturing partners to support design execution, prototype builds, issue resolution, and production launch activities.
Lead RFQ activities by developing BOMs, analyzing costs, obtaining supplier quotes, and optimizing designs to meet program cost targets
Plan and execute hardware validation of initial LAM samples, including troubleshooting, data analysis, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions
Lead Hardware DFMEA activities and ensure risks are identified, mitigated, documented, and tracked throughout development
Support resiliency redesign efforts through component sourcing, alternative part qualification, cost reduction initiatives, and supply chain risk mitigation.
Coordinate engineering deliverables and technical communication across global teams to ensure program milestones and customer requirements are met.
Manage engineering changes, including design updates, documentation releases, issue tracking, and compliance with established development processes.

Requirements:
Proficiency with Cadence Allegro Schematic capture and layout design tools
Experience designing hardware for LED lighting applications, LED driver circuits strongly preferred, or experience with other complex automotive ECU design.
Knowledge of PCB layout principles, design for manufacturability (DFM), and DFMEA processes.
Working knowledge of automotive development processes and ADVP&R requirements.
Understanding of automotive EMC, reliability, and environmental validation requirements.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
