Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with strong expertise in embedded hardware design and development for automotive electronics and electrification products. The candidate will be responsible for requirement analysis, hardware architecture, circuit design, simulation, prototyping, testing, debugging, and design documentation throughout the complete hardware development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze product requirements and translate them into hardware design specifications.
Design and develop automotive electronic control modules (ECUs) and electrification products.
Develop analog and mixed-signal circuits, including OP-AMP, ADC, data acquisition, sensor interface, and signal-conditioning circuits.
Design microcontroller/microprocessor-based hardware using 16/32-bit MCUs/processors, ADCs, SDRAM/DDR, Flash, and related peripherals.
Design and develop power electronics circuits, including linear and switch-mode power supplies, Buck/Boost converters, DC-DC converters, inverters, and AC/DC power supplies.
Work with IGBTs and MOSFETs for high-power/high-wattage applications.
Design and integrate communication interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI, RS485, USB, CAN, and Ethernet.
Define and review multilayer PCB layouts, component placement, routing, grounding, and power distribution based on performance and EMI/EMC requirements.
Apply EMI/EMC design principles and support compliance testing and troubleshooting.
Select and integrate automotive sensors such as Exhaust Gas Temperature, Humidity, and other engine/after-treatment sensors.
Perform circuit simulations and design calculations using MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice, and Mathcad.
Conduct board bring-up, prototyping, testing, debugging, and validation using DSO/oscilloscope, logic analyzers, emulators, and other lab equipment.
Perform basic signal integrity analysis and address PCB-related signal integrity issues.
Support DFM/DFT, product certification, and compliance requirements.
Prepare and maintain hardware design specifications, schematics, BOMs, test reports, validation reports, and other technical documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, systems, testing, manufacturing, and project management teams.
Support the complete hardware development lifecycle from requirements and design through prototyping, validation, release, and production.
