Electrical Engineer / Hardware Design Engineer
📍 Maryland, USA | Full-Time | Satellite Communications & Advanced Hardware
Vivid Technology is partnering with a leading global communications technology company to hire an Electrical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to work on next-generation SatCom user terminals, supporting the design and development of power supplies, GNSS modules, and high-speed digital systems within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
4+ years' experience in electrical hardware design
Experience with Cadence Allegro/OrCAD or similar ECAD tools
Strong understanding of power systems, microelectronics, and circuit design
Experience with high-speed digital design and PCB development
Hands-on use of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and signal analysis tools
Python scripting experience for test automation and engineering applications
What You'll Do:
Design and develop electrical subsystems for satellite communication products
Create schematics, block diagrams, and BOMs
Perform SI/PI analysis, board bring-up, debugging, and DVT testing
Support manufacturing, DFM, and DFA activities
Collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and cross-functional engineering teams
Utilize automation and AI-driven tools to improve design and validation processes
Desirable Experience:
Ku/Ka/Q-band RF design
DDR3/DDR4/DDR5 memory design
Ethernet, SPI, LVDS, RS232, and RS422 protocols
FPGA or microprocessor-based systems
