What you'll do
As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will:
Develop and support advanced additive manufacturing (AM) processes, including 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and digital manufacturing.
Create and optimize mechanical designs using NX 3D CAD and solid modeling tools.
Analyze material, process, and design relationships to improve product performance.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
Troubleshoot mechanical design challenges, including material issues, defects, and part performance concerns.
Develop inspection methods, testing procedures, and support failure analysis activities.
Create engineering documentation, work instructions, and process improvements.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
Research and support implementation of new additive manufacturing technologies.
What we're looking for
✅ Strong experience with NX 3D CAD (required)
✅ Experience with Teamcenter PLM preferred
✅ Strong mechanical design background
✅ Experience designing:
Sheet metal components
Machined parts
Mechanical assemblies
✅ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
✅ Experience supporting manufacturing processes and troubleshooting design issues
✅ 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
Important Requirement
As part of the hiring process, pre selected candidates must complete an in-person meet-up/interview in Fremont, CA. This is mandatory before moving forward. There is no virtual option available for this step.
