About the Company
Senior Hardware Design Engineer with extensive expertise in embedded hardware design, high-speed digital systems, power electronics, FPGA-based platforms, and product development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the complete product lifecycle from requirements of definition and architecture through design, validation, compliance testing, and production release. This role requires strong technical leadership, system-level thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineering.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Architecture & Design
Candidate should be able to drive end-to-end development of high-level architecture of FPGA platform and translate platform-level requirements to circuit and component-level specifications.
Define hardware architecture, block diagrams, and design specifications for embedded systems.
Experience with successfully implementing various high-speed memory, Video, IO, and network interfaces.
Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, FPGA-based, and high-speed electronic boards.
Develop schematics, BOMs, PCB stack-ups, and design documentation.
Perform component selection considering performance, reliability, cost, and lifecycle requirements.
Design and validate power supply circuits, power distribution networks & Power integrity designs.
EDA tool exposure (Concept HDL, OrCAD, Allegro, Ansys, Hyper Lynx).
Product Development
Review of the multi-disciplinary platform-level (Lz) requirements and translating into design.
Participate in requirements gathering, feasibility analysis, effort estimation, and project planning.
Drive end-to-end product development from concept through production release.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing transfer activities.
Coordinate with vendors for component procurement, PCB fabrication, and assembly.
Board Bring-Up & Validation
Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and system integration activities.
Conduct functional testing, design verification testing (DVT), and system testing.
Perform power integrity, timing analysis, signal integrity evaluation, and root-cause debugging.
Collaborate closely with firmware teams for interface validation and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience on different instruments like oscilloscope, logic analyzer and other equipment.
Verilog experience and working with Quartus design tools is a plus.
Hands-on debugging skills is a must.
Compliance & Reliability
Develop EMI/EMC test plans and support certification activities.
Ensure compliance with industrial safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.
Analyze test failures and implement corrective design improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with firmware, software, mechanical, CAD, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Participate in technical reviews and customer discussions.
Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and engineering release packages.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (or equivalent).
10+ years of experience in embedded hardware design and product development.
Proven experience in industrial, consumer, medical, or related product domains.
