Role Description
Hardware Design Engineer will design, develop, test, and validate electronic hardware systems for Electric Vehicle (EV) and IoT applications. The role includes working on circuit design, PCB layout, prototyping, testing, and supporting integration with embedded software.
Design and develop electronic circuits for EV subsystems, such as Battery Management Systems (BMS), Motor Controllers and IoT solutions.
Perform schematic capture, PCB layout design, component selection, and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation.
Develop prototypes and test boards; conduct functional, thermal, and environmental testing as per automotive standards
Support design validation (DVT) and production validation (PVT) phases, including EMI/EMC compliance testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering, to ensure hardware-software integration and system reliability.
Support failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions for hardware issues during development and field testing.
Document hardware design specifications, test plans, test reports, and release notes in line with company processes and automotive quality standards.
Assist in vendor coordination for PCB fabrication, assembly, and component sourcing
