2. About the Opportunity:
The Functional Tester role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of application products through comprehensive testing. This position contributes by developing and maintaining test scripts, managing test cases, and overseeing risk assessments related to software and hardware development. The role is critical for validating that systems meet user requirements and comply with established standards, thereby supporting the organization’s mission to deliver dependable technology solutions to federal clients.

3. Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade test scripts and testing architectures
• Write, implement, and report on system test cases
• Analyze test cases and provide progress reports
• Participate in risk management assessments and software/hardware development phases
• Support ELM/JIRA management including defect logging
• Review test plans and reports for technical accuracy and compliance
• Observe and evaluate customer acceptance testing
• Perform integration activities for application software
• Identify and document issues with root-cause analysis and remediation guidance
• Apply best practices for test elaboration, execution, and training

4. Requirements:
• Innovative approach to accomplishing testing and development tasks, both written and verbal
• Proactive learner with the ability to seek out necessary information
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Would Be Nice To Have:
• Familiarity with Pega or similar low-code COTS platform testing suites
• Experience with enterprise lifecycle management and requirements documentation tools
• Understanding of Agile implementation, particularly using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range for this role in specified states and cities is $73,600—$114,200 USD
• Compensation varies by location, role, skill set, and experience
