FPGA Firmware Engineer | Austin, TX | Up to $200,000
Join one of the best-funded stealth startups in the photonics and defence space, developing next-generation embedded systems that enable autonomous platforms to operate reliably in the world's most demanding environments.
As a Firmware Engineer, you’ll join a small team to develop FPGA firmware that controls advanced photonic systems, implementing deterministic low-latency processing, timing and closed-loop control for mission-critical autonomous platforms.
The company is based in Austin, TX. Local candidates are preferred, although we're happy to consider engineers elsewhere in the US who can travel to Austin regularly.
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be US Citizens or Green Card holders.
We're looking for experience with:
FPGA firmware development using VHDL and/or Verilog
Sensor interfacing and hardware control
FPGA timing closure and optimisation
Closed-loop control systems
Low-latency digital signal processing
Autonomous systems, robotics or navigation technologies
