We are seeking an FPGA Firmware Engineer to design, verify, and integrate FPGA-based DSP and control functions for advanced RF transmitter systems. You will work across firmware, hardware bring-up, and software integration in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities
Design and implement FPGA firmware in VHDL for real-time signal processing and control
Build and run simulation/verification workflows and support timing closure
Debug and validate prototypes in the lab using standard RF/digital test equipment
Collaborate with software and hardware teams on FPGA-host and board-level interfaces

It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
5+ years of FPGA/firmware development experience
Proficiency with Xilinx toolchain (Vivado; Questa or equivalent simulation tools)
Strong VHDL and digital design fundamentals
Experience with synthesis, implementation, timing closure, and lab debug
Experience with Git-based workflows
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Ability to travel occasionally
Selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. Government throughout the course of their employment.
Preferred Qualifications
RF DSP implementation experience (for example: filtering, NCO, FFT, waveform generation)
Experience with ADC/DAC integration and high-speed interfaces (for example PCIe, DDR3/DDR4)
MATLAB/Simulink for model-based development
Linux-based test/debug tools using Python and/or C/C++
Familiarity with IEEE 1588 or time synchronization concepts

Pay may range from $131,000 to $150,000 annually
The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.
Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). OSI also offers comprehensive benefits including various options for health plans, access to 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account, disability insurance, life insurance, AD&D insurance, leave of absence programs and an array of voluntary benefits.
