Join one of the top Mining & Construction Machinery Manufacturing Company as a Pattern/Tooling Design Engineer to support the foundry design requirements.
Foundry Pattern/Tooling Design Engineer
Location: Hodges, South Carolina
Duration: 01 year of initial contract with possible extension based on performance
Role:
Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction
Typical task breakdown:
RFQ tooling
Design New Pattern Tooling
Resolve casting issues
Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed.
Top 3 Skills:
Foundry Engineer Experience: (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process)
Foundry tooling Design Experience: (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process)
Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast
Additional Technical Skills:
Strong CAD skills (Creo preferred).
Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding
Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast/ProCast or similar preferred)
Desired:
CNC milling knowledge
Education and experience:
Associate’s degree with 07+ years of experience
Bachelor’s degree with 04+ years of experience
Master’s degree with 04+ years of experience
